Gracia, PhD

Graduate in Chemistry from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Doctor in Inorganic Chemistry from Sheffield University, UK.

After her PhD, she was employed by the University of the Basque Country to work in the synthesis of polymers for industrial applications. Then, in 2014, she moved to the Nanomedicine Institute of CIDETEC as senior researcher responsible for the Precision nanoparticles research line. Her work was focused on the preparation of polymer nanoparticles for pharma and biomedical applications and their translation from the laboratory to the preclinical stages. She managed different national and European projects and she was involved in the creation and development of a spin off focused on nanoparticles as platforms for the delivery of inhaled antibiotics. She is the author of 20 scientific publications and is co-inventor of 2 patents.

Raquel currently works as a Project Manager in the Business Development Department of VIVEbiotech, supporting clients with their project needs.
