After graduating in Biology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Andrés performed his Master in Molecular Medicine at the University of Tübingen (Germany). During his career, Andrés participated in several projects in molecular biology and infectious diseases.

Thereafter, he performed his PhD at the University Children’s Hospital of Tübingen (Germany), conducting preclinical studies to treat blood disorders through gene transfer, gene correction/addition, and gene disruption by CRISPR/Cas9, AAV, and lentiviral vectors.

Currently, Andrés is part of the R&D department at VIVEbiotech as a senior scientist.
