The first of these took place in Miami from 17 to 21 January. Called Advanced Therapies Week, this meeting is organized every year by Phacilitate. It is recognized as the market leader in providing the life science sector with strategic insight and said to be “the largest and most immersive marketplace for the advanced therapies industry, featuring 180+ tools and tech companies who share our goal to help biotechnology companies along their commercialization journey”. Natalia Elizalde, Chief Business Development Officer, and Giovanna Zanella, Head of Technical Proposals & Project Manager, participated in the meeting.

The second congress in the row was Cambridge Healthtech Institute´s 6th annual Bioprocessing Summit Europe that took place in Barcelona. A meeting that has become a premier meeting in the European bioprocessing calendar, is regarded by many as “the fastest growing bioprocessing meeting in Europe”. Ana Valero, Next Generation Technologies Expert, gave a talk on Tuesday March 14 entitled “Gyrolab – An Automated & Integrated Solution for Better Bioprocess Characterization & Quality Control Testing“. This presentation was thanks to the unique invitation of Gyros Protein Technologies who was sponsoring and exhibiting at the conference.

Next, Natalia participated in the Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mediterranean in Barcelona from April 12 to the 14, a conference organized by the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine. It is said to be Europe’s premier conference in the cell and gene therapy industry that gathers together leading industry experts speaking about various topics, from current ATMP investment trends to commercialization.

In fourth place, VIVEbiotech was exhibiting at booth #544 during the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy’s (ASGCT) Annual Meeting that was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 16-20. ASGCT´s Annual Meeting is said to be the premier event for professionals in gene and cell therapy, one of the best places for people in the field to learn from the latest scientific research, stay up to date on new technologies, and make career-advancing connections with peers. The Annual Meeting has grown to serve a wide community encompassing clinicians, bio-industry development, regulatory agencies, equipment manufacturers, patient advocates, and more. Natalia and Giovanna went all the way to Los Angeles and participated in the meeting.

Last but not least, VIVEbiotech participated in the ISCT, International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy Meeting that took place in Paris from May 31 to June 3. The ISCT “is a global society of clinicians, regulators, researchers, technologists, and industry partners with a shared vision to translate cell and gene therapy into safe and effective therapies to improve patients’ lives worldwide“. Giovanna participated in the congress.

After a demanding first half of the year, we are already preparing the congresses in which we will participate during the second half of the year!
