Rodriguez-Urretavizcaya, PhD

Graduate in Chemistry with a Master´s Degree in Applied Chemistry and Polymers from the University of the Basque Country, and Doctor in Biomedical Biotechnology from the University of Barcelona.

She began her research activity in the field of nanobiotechnology at CIC nanoGUNE and the Tufts University of Boston focusing her studies on the biomechanics and function of T lymphocyte membrane receptors with the aim of obtaining other alternatives for the treatment of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

She then completed her PhD specializing in the development of immunoassays based on the detection of biomarkers related to infectious diseases at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) of Barcelona in collaboration with the Vall d’Hebron Hospital.

Bárbara is currently an Analytical Development Scientist in the Quality Control Department at VIVEbiotech.
