Spanish DNA to fight rare diseases

Several countries such as China, the United States, France, and Italy are making progress in genetic treatments to cure rare diseases.

Spain joins this list thanks to VIVEbiotech, a company that contributes to the cure of rare diseases through gene therapy.

El Confidencial interviews Gurutz Linazasoro, President of VIVEbiotech, who offers hope to patients awaiting an effective treatment for their condition and who now have, in Donostia–San Sebastián, a laboratory that helps shorten the time needed to combat rare diseases.
