VIVEbiotech concludes a week of industry engagement across the US and Japan
Participation in Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa, an invited seminar at Kyoto University’s CiRA and BIOJAPAN 2026 reinforced VIVEbiotech’s engagement with the global cell and gene therapy community.
The first week of October saw VIVEbiotech actively engaging with the global cell and gene therapy community across three key destinations: Phoenix, Kyoto and Yokohama.
The week began with Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa, organized by the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM) in Phoenix, Arizona. Representing VIVEbiotech, Víctor Martinez Polo, BD Manager, attended one of the sector’s leading partnering events, connecting with developers, biotechnology companies, investors and industry stakeholders advancing the next generation of cell and gene therapies.

On October 6, Peter Jähn, PhD, Vice President of BD, delivered an invited seminar at Kyoto University’s Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA). During the session, titled Scalable Lentiviral Vector Manufacturing: From Research to GMP Production, he shared insights into the company’s experience supporting lentiviral vector programmes from early-stage research through GMP manufacturing.

The week continued at BIOJAPAN 2026 in Yokohama, where Peter represented VIVEbiotech as part of the ICEX Spain Trade & Investment Pavilion. The event provided an opportunity to engage with organizations from across the Asian and international biotechnology ecosystem, exchange perspectives on current and future programmes, and explore new collaboration opportunities.
With extensive experience in lentiviral vector development and manufacturing for both ex vivo and in vivo applications, VIVEbiotech supports developers worldwide with tailored solutions spanning process development, GMP manufacturing and commercial production.
