VIVEbiotech expands its presence in Japan with a featured presentation at Kyoto University’s CiRA ahead of BIOJAPAN 2026
VIVEbiotech to share expertise in scalable lentiviral vector manufacturing at Kyoto University’s Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA).

Ahead of BIOJAPAN 2026, Peter Jähn, PhD, Vice President at VIVEbiotech, will participate as a featured speaker at Kyoto University’s Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), one of Japan’s leading institutions in regenerative medicine and a global pioneer in iPS cell research.
Peter will deliver an in-person seminar for members of the CiRA community on October 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Seminar Room 1-105, Kyoto University (CiRA), Kyoto, Japan.
During his presentation, titled “Scalable Lentiviral Vector Manufacturing: From Research to GMP Production,” Peter will share insights from VIVEbiotech’s experience supporting lentiviral vector programs from early-stage research through GMP manufacturing.
The topic is particularly relevant to CiRA’s focus on iPS cell research and regenerative medicine. VIVEbiotech’s experience includes supporting lentiviral vector applications across a broad range of cell and gene therapy approaches, including programs involving iPS cell-derived technologies.
The seminar will provide an opportunity to discuss key considerations in scaling lentiviral vector manufacturing and supporting the advancement of innovative cell and gene therapy programs.
Following the seminar, VIVEbiotech will participate in BIOJAPAN 2026, taking place from October 7 to 9 in Yokohama, Japan, as part of the ICEX Spain Trade & Investment Pavilion.
Attendees interested in learning more about VIVEbiotech’s lentiviral vector manufacturing capabilities can connect with Peter through the BIOJAPAN partnering system to discuss current and future development and manufacturing needs.
