VIVEbiotech is looking for a Business Development Manager with the aim of helping us with the expansion of the portfolio of international clients.

The responsibilities of this position range from negotiations to closing deals, and continue once projects have started.

The Business Development Manager will assume some Project Manager functions guaranteeing that the activities associated with projects are performed as agreed with customers from the technical, quality and timelines point of view.

The Business Development Manager will report to the Business Development Director.


  • Life Science Education (Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy…). PhD will be considered highly positive.

  • Prior experience in the Business Development/Project Management field in the Biotech/Pharma sector. Prior experience in a CMO will be considered significantly.

  • Solid technical background. Knowledge in the manufacture of biologicals will be considered positively.

  • Availability to travel.

  • Communication skills both internally and with customers.

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

  • Microsoft Office working knowledge.

  • Problem-management skills, risk-analysis abilities and multi-tasking capabilities.

  • Identification of new opportunities.

  • Preparation of and attendance to international meetings and conferences of the biotech/pharma sector.

  • Meeting with customers.

  • Budgeting.

  • Monitoring projects during execution.

  • Management of the relationship with clients both during negotiation and during the execution of projects.

  • Ensuring the delivery of projects on time and on budget.

  • Management of project-related documentation: minutes, reports…
