Carmen Albo

carmen alboGraduate in Chemistry (1983, Universidad del País Vasco). She has developed her professional career over almost thirty years through research in virology, molecular and cell biology in benchmark centers throughout Spain. Her vast experience in virology working with the flu virus has been complemented by the study of prions, their diagnosis and pathology in humans, developed in the Carlos III Institute of Health. Following this, she has worked in the field of adult stem-cells of mesenchymal origin, and especially on cardiac stem cells, at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC).
